Alfa-Bank has recorded record profits

Net profit of Alfa-Bank in 2010 on the basis of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) has become the biggest in the entire 20-year history. This was reported on the website of the credit institution on Monday, April 11. Profit was 553 million dollars, while return on equity reached 19.1 percent. Aggregate capital, net of dividends amounting to $ 150 million increased by 14,1 percent to 3,1 billion. Total assets of the group grew by 31.6 percent from 21.6 billion at the end of 2009 to 28.5 billion at the end of 2010. The aggregate outstanding loans of corporate borrowers by the end of 2010 grew by 23.7 percent to 15.9 billion dollars (12.8 billion dollars at end-2009), while the loan portfolio of retail business grew by 8.7 percent to 2 3 billion dollars (2.1 billion in 2009).
