Two well-known banks are going to recover their money through bankruptcy proceedings of one of the largest manufacturers of champagne. It all began in July 2009, when the Interregional Inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service filed a view to recognizing the insolvent manufacturer of sparkling beverages OAO "Istok". Then the debt of the company amounted to 642.6 million rubles. Unpaid money caused the halt in production - the company was not able to purchase tax stamps. Then, in spring 2010, the Arbitration Court of Stavropol region has received a claim of the bank VTB, which requires a "Sources" to repay the loan by 11 million euros. Business owner Taimuraz Boko could partially meet the requirement of the bankers, voluntarily paying 2.9 million euros. But remained unreturned 7.4 million euros, which the court ordered the return within the prescribed period. Also, the judge granted the "Savings Bank", which requires the manufacturer to recover from the Champagne 2.4 billion rubles. On this decision, the mortgaged property of the company to be sold at public auction. It is possible that it will acquire state-owned company Rosspirtprom, which was interested in buying assets from alcoholic Sberbank. The company "Istok" was founded in 1995 in the town of Beslan. As of 2008, it owned 22% of the market champagne Russia. In addition to sparkling drink, this company engaged in the production of vodka and liquor products.
