In the EU guarantees on bank deposits will increase from 20,000 euros to 50,000

Council of Ministers of the European Union approved a directive on improving in the EU Member States to June 30, 2009 guarantees safety of bank deposits from the current 20 thousand to 50 thousand euro, told RIA Novosti the EU Council. According to him, also endorsed a provision stating that a specified threshold from 30 December 2010 will be raised to 100,000 euros.
