In May, Russia's inflation will accelerate

Inflation in Russia could grow with the April 0,4% to 0,5% in May, but the Ministry of Economic Development does not intend to change the annual forecast. This was stated by head of department Nabiullina, RIA Novosti reported on Thursday, May 12. "Estimates of the inflation fit into our annual forecast. By May (projected) 0.5% ", - said Nabiullina. The Minister added that the figure is not much higher than April, so the ministry does not plan to change the annual inflation forecast - 6,5-7,5%. Recall that in April this year, consumer prices in Russia increased by 0,4% compared with growth of 0.3% in April 2010. In May 2010, inflation amounted to 0,5%. Most analysts agreed that the cause of acceleration of inflation was the "petrol crisis".
