I hope that soon we will begin to feel the effects of government support", - said Kopeikin. He reported that the Russian Bank for Development (RBD) is going to significantly expand the amount of support to small and medium enterprises. In the business plan of the bank is assumed that the total financing of this sphere will be more than 100 billion rubles. Deputy chairman of VEB said that in 2009, lending to small and medium-sized enterprises were the only segment that showed a positive trend. "The pace of recovery for SME loan portfolios exceeded the pace of lending to all other legal entities. During April-December last year, lending to SMEs has grown by 4%," - said Kopeikin, adding that the number of small businesses last year grew by 2,8%.
