Income - about two billion dollars

As of 1 January 2009 the total volume of the National Welfare Fund was 2 584.49 billion (87.97 billion U.S. dollars), according to Russia's Finance Ministry. As of January 1, 2009 balances were in separate accounts of the National Welfare Fund at the Bank of Russia: 33.96 billion U.S. dollars, 24.13 billion euros, 4.38 billion pounds. Also on deposits with Vnesheconombank was posted 400.00 billion rubles. The aggregate estimated amount of revenue from the placement of the National Welfare Fund, converted into U.S. dollars for the period from 30 January 2008 to 31 December 2008 amounted to 1.88 billion U.S. dollars (55.32 billion). Exchange difference on revaluation of balances in the accounts of the National Welfare Fund in foreign currency for the period from January 30, 2008 to December 31, 2008 was a positive value - 211.48 billion rubles.
