Market for Internet commerce is suffering from "gray" schemes

To date, over the Internet, email, machine or network marketing is sold only about 4% of all goods in Russia. And even despite the fact that sales are growing annually by 15-20%, our country lags far behind Western countries. According to the "Russian Newspaper" referring to the Chamber of Commerce, the total volume of Russian market of remote trading was $ 4.5 billion, while in the U.S. - $ 100 billion, and in the European Union - and at $ 300 billion, most popular is the Internet. So according to the president of the Association of trading companies and manufacturers of electronic and computer equipment Alexander Onischuk, network passes approximately 1.1% of the goods of their profile, or $ 160 billion a year, with the bulk of purchases accounted for Moscow and St. Petersburg. Up to 50% of electronics on the Internet - the "gray goods," notes Onischuk, usually in the informal market selling mobile phones and photo equipment, much less frequently - a large household appliances and televisions. Meanwhile, the fraudsters is quite easy to penetrate the market. It's enough to have a store with products that contain the cheapest site and collect a small staff, which will be paid salaries "in an envelope." If the seller and "catches" on faulty goods, he could face a fine of up to 30 thousand rubles, and in case of violation of the rights of consumers to receive truthful information - up to 10.5 thousand rubles. Another stumbling block for a successful Internet trgovli is a long-term delivery. Not all potential buyers are willing to wait for the ordered goods for weeks, for many is much easier to buy it in stores, experts say.
