On the industrial production in October

According to the Federal State Statistics Service, industrial production in October has exceeded the value of a year ago, only 0.6% (against 4,7% in September). At the same time, according to TsMAKP, early in the fourth quarter, the industry registered a decline of production. Output in October to the corresponding period last year declined by 0.8%. With the elimination of the seasonal factor, the October volume of production has decreased in comparison with September at 2.2%. Recession or a sharp deceleration of the previously observed rise recorded in the vast majority of industrial activities. The reason for the serious deterioration of the frontal in October - the imposition of three negative factors: a sharp deterioration in the terms and availability of bank credit, reducing the investment activity and the volume of construction works, nachavshe-Gosia in the first half of this year, a significant drop in prices and declining demand in world markets most of the major Russian export commodities. The most dramatic reversal situation - from the growth in the third quarter to decline in October - was recorded in a number of krupnyhsistemoobrazuyuschih activities. 1. In metallurgical production output in October fell by 9,9% compared with the corresponding period the previous year (third quarter - -0.3%). The most acute situation - in the production of rolled products (-21.6%), blanks (-20.9%), the casting of steel (-19.4%). In pipe production decline considerably weaker (-7.6%). 2. In the manufacture of machinery and equipment production decline was 10.4% (third quarter - 2.2%). Landslide reduction in output is observed in the manufacture of material handling equipment (-37.8%), as well as road-building tech-nicks (-24.2%). In other major segments of the decline is not observed, however, significant inhibition of growth of output there (well, an increase of production of mechanical equipment in October amounted to only 1,4% against 8,1% in the third quarter). 3. In the chemical industry the decline in production in October was 6.6% (third quarter - 1.8%). The decline is related mainly to the sharp decline in fertilizer production (-14.6%). 4. In the production of building materials reduce the level of output in October estimated by a factor of 3.8%. The most problematic segment - cement production (-20.0%) for most other types of basic building materials decrease significantly weaker (from -1% to -5%). 5. In wood reduction in output in October reached 6.7%. The worst situation - in the production of sawn timber (-15.4%). 6. In the production of vehicles in general, the decline has not yet fixed, but a significant deterioration of the situation there. Level of output in October exceeded the value of a year ago, only 2.1% - despite the fact that in the third quarter increase was 16,4%. The reason - a sharp, almost a third (-32.1%) - the decline in production of trucks. Growth in output of cars has slowed sharply (third quarter - 21.8%, October - 12.2%). In other major industrial activities critical deterioration of the situation in October was fixed. The volume of oil and gas condensate production in October fell slightly, but the results are better than in the third quarter (October 2008 to October 2007 - -0,7% in September - -0,4%, the third quarter - -1 1%). Note that the excess of last year, in addition to the aforementioned cases, s is stored in the following major industries: food products: meat and meat products (October to October: 9.2%), frozen food (9.3%), feed animals (11,9%), petroleum products (6.6%), a wide range of plastic products (20.3%), certain types of materials: glass, ceramic tiles (8.5% and 11.6% respectively ), heavy, power and transport equipment: cars (10.2%), forging machines (19.3%), energy turbines (6.4%) - as well as agricultural machinery (11,8%) .
