Russia increased its exports of gas and oil production

The volume of gas exports from Russia in January-May this year rose by almost 1.7 times compared to the same period in 2009 - up to 79.355 billion cubic meters. This is evidenced by statistics of the Ministry of Energy (Energy Ministry), the Russian Federation. In particular, last month, exports of natural gas increased by 4,4% - to 13.685 billion cubic meters. According to the agency, gas production in 5 months increased by 21,5% and amounted to 289.1 billion cubic meters, including the Russian monopoly Gazprom has increased its production by 21% - up to 228.587 billion cubic meters. In January-May in our country have also increased oil production by 2.8% over the same period in 2009 - up to 207.77 million tons, follows from the Ministry of Energy materials. In this case, Russian oil exports fell by 0.6% - up to 101.698 million tons. Supply of crude oil for refining in Russia, by contrast, grew by 4,9% and amounted to 100.385 million tons of primary oil refining in the five months rose by 4.7% - up to 100.134 million tons. According to the Energy Ministry over the past year, Russia increased its oil production by 1.2% - up to 494.228 million tons, while exports - by 3,3% to 246.044 million tons. These findings differ somewhat from the information Rosstat who praised Russia's oil production in 2009, 494.0 million tons (an increase of 0,7%). According to the Ministry of Economic Development (MED), oil production in 2009-2012 will stabilize at 493 million tons.
