Nearly 40% of the population make various payments. However, to implement them until the Russians are mostly only use traditional methods of payment. So, two thirds of respondents to make payments over the counter bank branch, and another third - through the Russian Post. These are the results of the nationwide survey conducted by the National agency of financial researches (NAFI) in conjunction with the Russian Microfinance Center (RMC) in April 2011, remote sensing and, indeed, innovative channels of payments is so far a small part of the Russians. For example, a bank card over the Internet pay 3% of respondents, with the mobile phone account - 2%, and electronic money (Webmoney, Yandex-money, etc.) - 1%. Payments via ATM carries a third of Russians. Same number of respondents use payment terminals, and most are young people: the Russian people under the age of 24 years to make payments through the terminal 47%, while among the older generation (45-54 years) - 30%. Payments through cellular shops demanded 15% of Russians, and over the counter shop - at 8%. According to experts NAFI, as soon as it feeds making payments through the agent network, which consists of various payment systems and services (payment terminals, electronic money, mobile operators, retail cashier) in the near future and will provide a powerful "engine" of development and distribution of banking services among the population. The initiative nationwide survey NAFI and RMC in March 2011 interviewed 1600 people in 140 villages in 42 regions of Russia. Statistical error does not exceed 3,4%.
