The total arrears of wages of Russian companies on December 1 last year on January 1, 2009 decreased by 39,8% and amounted to 4,674 million rubles, according to Federal State Statistics Service. In total amount of arrears of wages accounted for 39% manufacturing, 18% - in transport, 12% - in agriculture and 11% - on the building. Among the most troubled regions: "The Chechen Republic", "Krasnoyarsk", "Kemerovo region, Khabarovsk Krai and the Ivanovo region." Naturally, these figures do not include the small and medium businesses.
