Motorists who bought OSAGO from GSA after December 18, 2008, were left without protection

The Russian Union of Insurers (RSA) has warned people who bought after Dec. 18, 2008 policy OSAGO belonging Ltd General Insurance Alliance (GSA) that their insurance cover under threat, reports RIA Novosti. Recall that the Federal Service for Insurance Supervision Order № 591 to suspend the license for insurance activity in GAW. The Order came into force on a given day. In February 2009, the license has been revoked. As at 18 December, FSA and its insurance intermediaries (agents and brokers) were more than 200,000 blank compulsory civil liability motor, which has not yet been transferred to the SAR, and possibly fall into the illegal circulation. PCA warns citizens who purchased after Dec. 18 policy OSAGO owned insurance company GAW, in the case of an accident that occurred on their fault, they are denied insurance coverage. On the eve it was reported that the size of upcoming payments to GSA SAR may reach 245 million rubles, the agency said.
